What will the Senior Accountant do: • Prepare accurate general ledger entries and financial statements for company and subsidiaries executive management and board of director review. • Research, analyze and document explanations for variances in general ledger accounts. • Reconcile a variety of general ledgers and ensure outages are rectified promptly. • Work closely with Financial Reporting to provide support for internal and external audit requests. • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger according to GAAP, maintaining complex Excel spreadsheets for supporting documentation. • Ability to manage and large amounts of information efficiently such as multimillion dollar wires • Prepare financial reports for the company and its subsidiaries. Requirements of the Senior Accountant: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance • Public Accounting Audit / Industry Mix - preferably with financial institution, banking, financial services audit experience • 3 - 5 years GAAP accounting experience • CPA eligible preferred • Ability to manage multiple/complex tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and serving as first line of resolution for the Accounting Operations escalation process • Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.#GAAP #AccountingJobs #Accountant #CPA #CPAEligible #LI-AB2 #INSEP2025
