Senior Accountant
KZValve, LLC – Greenwood, NE
Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining financial records/procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements. This position supports the Accounting/Finance organization and partners with the Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to support forecasting and analysis of actual financial results. The Senior Accountant will also serve as the backup for the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review financial records for accuracy and SOX compliance
• Assist with preparations of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Responsible for the preparation and posting of journal entries
• Prepare, analyze, and submit monthly financial data via OneStream
• Recommends process improvement opportunities
•  Prepare/analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements/reports
• Assist with quarterly and year-end supplemental schedules as required, including quarterly balance sheet review, and annual Tax and Accounting packages
• Analyze and report actual variances compared to forecast and AOP 
• Assist with check runs
• Assist in preparation of documentation to support audits
• Special projects as assigned, including but not limited to system related projects, process improvement, and/or departmental training
• Use inventory experience to perform cost accounting exercises
• Assist with other day-to-day tasks as needed

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2-4 years’ experience required and 5-7 years’ experience in general accounting preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Sage100, and OneStream; JDE experience is a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Solid understanding of Sarbanes Oxley
• Ability to work independently and with a team, providing leadership to the team
• Exposure to cost accounting
• Effective communication and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Monday through Friday, exempt position. 
• Position reports to the Finance Manager
