Senior Accountant

Come join a growing organization! Neogen is looking to hire a Senior Accountant at our Lexington location.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
• Preparing financial statements
• Supporting month-end and year-end close.
• Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
• Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses.
• Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
• Assisting with initial internal control evaluations.
• Participates in physical inventory counts.
• Performs training on use of Solomon when requested.
• Reviews intercompany charges.
• Performs miscellaneous financial analysis as requested.
• Responds to requests by corporate accounting departments.
• Participates in staff meetings.
• Conducts internal audits.
• Participates in monthly management meetings.
• Communicates all problems and exceptions to manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting from four-year college or university
• 3-5 yearrelated experience and/or training
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
