Senior Accountant

Grow your career as a Senior Accountant within ALG Vacations, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for closing the books, account reconciliations and month-end tasks associated with the Cheap Caribbean and Beach Bound brands.

A successful Sr. Accountant will:

• Complete monthly journal entries for the assigned brand necessary to ensure an accurate and timely financial statement close process which is in alignment with the company close schedule
• Submit timely and accurate account reconciliations, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley controls
• Analyze month-end results against prior year, budget and/or forecast and provide explanations for major variances
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Provide input to the Financial Planning and Analysis team to support the forecasting and budgeting processes, as necessary
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a manager.

A successful Sr. Accountant will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required (Master's, along with a CPA license, preferred)

Experience

• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in MS Office packages, including Word and Excel
• CPA license, preferred
• Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking, as well as good organizational skills
• Detailed oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently, thinking critically and proffering quality ideas to improving organization's processes
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs
• SAP knowledge preferred but not required
