Job Description
High Alpha is hiring key team members for a new startup. This position will be with High Alpha’s latest company, which is pre-public launch. You’ll work closely with the internal High Alpha team while reporting directly to the CEO of the new company. If you’ve ever been interested in working at a company from scratch as a member of the initial team, this is it!
This pre-launch company provides fractional full-service finance and accounting support to high-growth SaaS and services companies. Customers of this pre-launch company look to us as SaaS and services experts focused on helping their companies succeed.
About this role:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to provide world-class accounting and bookkeeping support to high-growth SaaS and services companies. In this role, you'll be a hands-on partner to team members at dynamic software and services companies.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Lead monthly close process, analysis, and reporting
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts monthly
- Assist with tax compliance and filings
- Run payroll for customers
- Monitor cash flow and expense management
- Assist in setting budgets and financial forecasts
- Manage relationships with external vendors and tax accountants
What We’re Looking For:
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting with SaaS or services company experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles including revenue recognition
- Desire to build out and improve internal processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Experience running payroll and employee onboarding to various systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets
- Familiarity with Quickbooks and ability to learn new technology quickly
- Strong analytical skills
- You’re organized and demonstrate a high attention to detail and accuracy
- You’re self-motivated and like to take ownership of new projects
- You love working with numbers and helping people
