Founded in 2018 by a group of engineers from Stanford, Cisco Meraki, and Samsara, Spot AI was created to deliver on the mission of visually indexing the physical world and empowering people at work with video.  Now we’re a group of almost 100 (and counting!) You’re a self-starter and a problem solver. You possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. You’re detail oriented and have a track record of success when dealing with GAAP guidance and other accounting procedures.

• Performing monthly/quarterly close tasks including revenue review, journal entries and accruals, account reconciliations and analysis
• Taking ownership of expense & payroll management
• Administering the order to cash cycle including invoicing, invoice collections, internal/external communications, cash receipt deposits and reconciliations.
• Leading special projects such as audits, ERP system implementation etc 
• Driving process and efficiency improvements to our accounting processes
• Providing a high level of customer service with cross-functional stakeholders by providing financial insights and reporting

• 4+ years of experience in general accounting in public accounting or at a technology company (SaaS/High Growth  experience preferred)
• Experience with revenue recognition bookkeeping and ASC 606 compliance
• Strong knowledge of core systems including; Netsuite, QBO, Bill.com, Expensify, Salesforce, Excel and Word
• Proven understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience developing account reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and organization, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting
