Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant (Contract) $50-58/HR Role: We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support core month-end close processes and financial reporting. This role focuses on maintaining accuracy in financial data, preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, and working cross-functionally to ensure reliable financial results. Key Responsibilities: • Work with the Controller to execute monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations across key balance sheet areas (e.g., cash, investments, inventory, fixed assets). • Support the organization's audits by providing documentation to external and internal auditors. • Maintain vendor records and assist with onboarding. • Analyze financial results to explain variances and identify trends. • Assist with tax compliance, including some work with international filings. • Contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system. • Identify and implement process improvements. • Work cross functionally with internal teams to ensure complete and timely financial data. • Handle ad hoc projects and reporting needs as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field • Certifications are a plus (CPA, CIA, CMA, etc.) • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for general ledger and financial reporting • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Working Situation: This will be 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home.
