Senior Accountant (CPG )

Tacombi is a fast-growing, omni-channel consumer and retail brand that is committed to globally sharing Mexican food and culture through hospitality experiences, CPG products, community outreach and digital content. Over the next couple years, we’ll be significantly expanding our footprint across the U.S., which means we are going to hire a lot of people and each one of them needs to uphold our brand promise, embody our core values and always extend Mexican Hospitality – Tacombi’s unique service culture – to our growing customer and employee bases.

• Sales and accounts receivable - Manage the invoice process with broker agencies, local distributors and internal accounts, record customer payments, follow up with delinquent customers and escalate to senior management, when needed.
• Trade Spend - Book, reconcile and report on Trade Spend including trends and variance to budget.
• Intercompany sales – Record and reconcile intercompany tortilla sales to Taquerias.
• Accounts Payable – Record accounts payable invoices, remit payments on a timely basis and reconcile statement of accounts with vendors
• Payroll – Record payroll entry weekly and accrued wages at month end

• Cash – Perform bank reconciliation of Vista Hermosa bank account.
• Inventory – Record and adjust raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventories to periodic inventory counts.
• Commissions - Calculate monthly sales to determine the broker’s commission
• Assets/Liabilities – Amortize prepaids, record accruals and record other miscellaneous entries.
• Reconciliations - Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Reporting – Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial package; research and provide commentary on variances to budget.

• Participate in the annual audit as it relates to Vista Hermosa.
• Attend Vista Hermosa meetings/manufacturing plant, as needed.
• Assist with implementation of department-wide initiatives.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.

• Finance or Accounting Bachelor's Degree
• 2-5 years experience in CPG finance
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Restaurant 365 & QuickBooks proficiency a plus
