CoreWeave is searching for a Fixed Assets Accountant to support all aspects of CoreWeave’s Data Centers built out and management.  In this role, you will be responsible for the full cycle accounting of fixed assets including acquisition, work in progress, spare parts, capitalization, depreciation, transfer, disposition, reconciliation, and reporting, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and establishing accounting policies, controls and procedures within the Accounting and Data Center Operation team. You’ll work both autonomously and in collaboration with the Purchasing, Operation team, Controller, Accounting Manager, and CFO to drive impact each day.

The ideal candidate will have a forward-thinking approach to efficient accounting processes in a fast paced, high growth environment and the ability to clearly communicate deliverables and recommendations.

Your Role:

  • Work with AP, purchasing, inventory manager and field operation team to identify FA purchases, in service date, timely capitalization, depreciation, transfer, and disposition
  • Review vendor invoices to ensure proper capitalization of expenditures of FA.
  • Work with filed operation team to establish processes and procedure for FA management.
  • Evaluate existing FA operation and accounting systems, provide recommendation whether there is possibility to consolidate.
  • Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
  • Track FA by location, by categories, ensure all required detail information is obtained and accurate in our systems.
  • Design and conduct periodic FA cycle count to ensure physical records agree with accounting records.
  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger, own the monthly and yearly roll forward of fixed assets
  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries
  • Prepare FA schedules for tax provision and tax return.
  • Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
  • Evaluate and recommend to management whether any fixed assets should be disposed of.
  • Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
  • Prepare property tax returns.
  • Accrue and prepare monthly use taxes for data centers with tax incentives.
  • Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in accounting with 5 plus years of professional experience.
  • 3+ years of fixed asset accounting experience, must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Strong knowledge of Assets capitalization.
  • NetSuite and Net Assets experience is a plus,
  • Proactive “self-starter” with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the company.
  • Problem solver that is able to connect dots, come up with solutions, and consider both current needs and long-term best practices at scale.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and Excel proficient (Pivotable, lookup, sumifs etc.).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
