Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

** Senior Accountant ** San Diego, CA 92123 ** Hybrid, Contract - ~1 year ** $80-95K ** A leading healthcare organization in San Diego is seeking anInterim Senior Accountantto provide support during a major system integration project. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence 1–2 times every two weeks. The assignment is expected to last at least 12 months, with the possibility of extending up to 2 years. Responsibilities: • Perform full month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting • Support project-related accounting functions during ERP integration • Backfill core accounting staff rotating to the implementation team • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely reporting • Assist with process improvement and special projects as assigned Qualifications: • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or government-funded environments • Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger, and financial reporting • Prior experience with ERP systems; PeopleSoft a plus but not required • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and adapt in a project-based environment • CPA or CPA-track preferred Apply today!
