Penumbra Europe GmbH, based in Berlin and headquartered in Alameda, California, is a global healthcare company focused on innovative therapies for stroke patients. Penumbra designs, develops, manufactures and markets novel medical technology products with a diversified portfolio. Our customers are hospitals and healthcare providers through direct sales in the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia, as well as through distributors in select international markets. 

To strengthen our Clinical team, we are looking for a full-time Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to work hybrid in our Berlin office or remotely in Europe as soon as possible.

What You'll Work On

• Month end and year end accounting activities: Prepare local GAAP entries to create HGB financial statements on basis of US-GAAP entries
• Maintain open communication: Work Closely with the local tax advisor to receive and provide necessary information
• Collaborate with the legal department: Ensure accurate and compliant GPO calculations in a reviewing function
• Driving Excellence: Enhancing Processes for Ongoing Improvement of Accounting Processes

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Relevant finance experience industry required (i.e. medical devices/pharmaceutical).
• Must be familiar with laws, regulations, standards, and guidance governing on local statutory requirements, e.g. financial statements creation in SAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluency in English required.
