Senior Accountant, Record to Report

We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Senior Accountant supporting our finance team, you will be trusted to work on analyzing and preparing financial reports within our pharmaceutical products at our Fort Worth, TX location.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Prepare accurate and robust monthly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate journal entries in a timely manner.
• Ongoing operational improvements made through the month to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and address business / operational changes.
• Collaborate proactively with key partners, including Finance colleagues, internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Regional/Global Financial Reporting and Accounting. Communication with these partners is appropriate and timely when questions regarding accounting/reporting matters arise.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS (GAAP), accounting and financial reporting requirements. Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient ERP knowledge (SAP)
• Confirmed Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
