The primary responsibility of the Sr Accountant is to perform a variety of accounting tasks and fulfill monthly financial closing requirements within framework of corporate policy and SOX procedures. They are also responsible for additional responsibilities as delegated by the Controller.

  • The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Accounting Controller in addition to interaction with FP&A, Corporate Functional Teams, GBS and the Site Leadership Team.
  • Support month-end close process and ensures accurate and timely completion of assigned journal entries, account reconciliations and intercompany activity.
  • Assist in timely preparation of financial reports, including preparation of corporate parent's required monthly and quarterly financial reporting requests for the location (entity level reporting).
  • Accountable for the safe keeping and maintenance of the company's assets though balance sheet integrity and a proper control environment.
  • Tracks all Division CAR Projects for completion and communicates asset closure and setup to GBS on a timely basis.
  • Prepares year-end tax package and Controller's reporting package for submittal to Corporate.
  • Assists in gathering and analyzing information as requested by Internal Audit and Outside Auditing Firm.
  • Perform a variety of aspects of financial close as delegated by the Controller.
  • Assist in analyzing trends, costs, revenues to prior actuals, budget and forecast.
  • Assist in routine SOX roll forward testing and documentation.
  • Medius Flow POC for the Entity.
  • Monitor/Audit T&E expense
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed and/or assigned by Division Controller.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required; Preferably in Accounting or other related discipline with Accounting experience.

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience in general accounting, auditing, and financial statement preparation required.
  • Ability to process complex information
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must have ability to identify problems in a variety of situations and ability to work to resolve.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and effectively collaborate across functional areas to obtain results through others
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong analytic skills and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle. etc.
  • Comfortable working in a global business environment that is undergoing process and technology changes
