As a Senior Accountant, you will play an integral role across many parts of the finance and accounting function including involvement in the preparation of financial statements and MD&A, preparation of technical accounting memos, as well as due diligence on mergers and acquisitions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $73,600.00 - $110,400.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Crown Is Yours
As a Senior Accountant, you will play an integral role across many parts of the finance and accounting function including involvement in the preparation of financial statements and MD&A, preparation of technical accounting memos, as well as due diligence on mergers and acquisitions.
What you'll do as a Senior Accountant
- Support the preparation of financial statements by creating balance sheets, income statements, and footnote disclosures for 10-K and 10-Q filings.
- Work collaboratively with other business lines, including product operations, investor relations, and FP&A, to gather information for SEC disclosures.
- Identify the financial impact of proposed acquisitions and integrations by reviewing agreements, preparing models, and presenting findings to executives.
- Support the integration of new businesses by preparing the opening balance sheets, creating forecasts, developing integration playbooks, and assisting with the transition of systems.
- Prepare accounting memos and technical analyses with a focus on revenue recognition, strategic investments, new agreements and partnerships, segment reporting, and goodwill and intangible asset impairment.
- Support stock compensation administration including the development of forecasts, calculation of grant date, fair value, and monthly expense entries.
- Review monthly and quarterly reconciliations and journal entries with a focus on investments, revenue recognition, leases, and stock compensation.
- Assist in the development and improvement of existing financial reporting processes and standards through tools like Netsuite, wDesk, and others.
What you'll bring
- CPA, or working toward CPA, is required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience required, preferably with large accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and consolidations is required.
- Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to prepare models and macros required.
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and create new processes, or redesign existing processes, to meet goals.
