Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting

The opportunity

Unity’s Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting that will be an integral part of our growing team. This role will have an immediate impact on our month-end close process as well as strengthening our overall reconciliation process. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with a strong attention to detail and able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct financial close processes: Perform timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation of analysis, journal entries, and reconciliation schedules
• Manage stock and asset accounting: Research, evaluate, and document the accounting treatment of stock modifications, and own the preparation of the annual goodwill and intangible assets impairment memo.
• Collaborate for efficiency: Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance Unity’s close procedures and assist with monthly reporting and flux analysis
• Prepare financial statements: Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements/footnotes and SEC supporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
• Improve processes and support audits: Develop and implement process improvements, work on automation initiatives, document standard operating procedures, support audit requirements, and complete special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.

What we're looking for

• Chartered Accountant
• Experience working with the accounting for Stock Compensation and Cash Flows
• Strong team player that is willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Superb communication skills, both written and oral
• Knowledge of excel at an intermediate level

• Teamwork and Technical Experience: Capable of working with team members across multiple locations and experienced with large ERP systems, specifically Workday Financials and/or NetSuite.
