Senior Accountant

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant in India.

This is a high-ownership accounting role within a fast-paced, global finance environment supporting a technology-driven business operating in the restaurant ecosystem. You will play a key role in managing end-to-end accounts payable, procure-to-pay processes, reconciliations, and monthly close activities across multiple entities. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure financial accuracy, audit readiness, and process scalability. You will work closely with the finance leadership team to support P&L analysis, variance reporting, and financial integrity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a remote, collaborative, and execution-focused environment. You will also contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency across finance operations.

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and procure-to-pay operations, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment execution, and ledger maintenance.
• Oversee vendor and contractor payments while ensuring approvals, contracts, and documentation are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
• Maintain and monitor AP aging, proactively resolving outstanding balances, disputes, and payment discrepancies.
• Perform monthly close activities including accruals, payroll entries, prepaid and fixed asset accounting, and journal postings.
• Execute daily and monthly reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and multi-platform transactions ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities and support consolidated financial reporting.
• Support preparation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis to identify key cost and performance trends.
• Ensure maintenance of clean accounting records, documentation, and structured financial workflows aligned with audit requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements leveraging automation, AI tools, and best practices in accounting operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and finance leadership to ensure timely and accurate financial close cycles.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to accounts payable and procure-to-pay processes.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and proficiency in G Suite tools.
• Experience in bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and multi-entity accounting environments.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis and supporting financial reporting processes.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and high-ownership environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written communication in English.
• Experience working with intercompany accounting across international entities is preferred.
• Exposure to SaaS or technology startup environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation tools, including AI-based workflow optimization, is highly desirable.
• CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
