Title: Senior Accounting Analyst, Consolidations

Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid)

Position Summary

The consolidations team is the final step in closing the financial books monthly and preparing financial statements for internal and external purposes.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Prepare journal entries, reviewing transactions and accounting for the internal transfer price uplift charges
  • Prepare and file periodic Government reports with US Census Bureau and BEA Chamber of Commerce for Total NCR. This includes a variety of quarterly and annual reports
  • Calculate and book journals in Oracle Cloud for the intercompany related activity as part of the monthly financial close process
  • Prepare and submit monthly accounts receivable report
  • Prepare monthly recurring journal entries for various items
  • Perform division allocations for all legal entities and P&L lines that have amounts not booked to a specific line of business as part of the monthly financial close process
  • Coordinate year-end post close process
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Coordinate a correcting entry review with the global accounting teams
  • Send quarterly request lists
  • Prepare SOX internal controls self-testing and documentation of that testing for the consolidations group. Liaise with internal audit to provide them access to the controls testing documentation and answer general questions
  • Assist external auditors and internal auditors with their reviews of the financial consolidations processes
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet fluctuation analysis
  • Cross train with other consolidations team member to learn their roles & functions to be able to back them up in the event of emergencies
  • Assist in any other special projects as requested

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business discipline
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Experience in US GAAP accounting and reporting
  • Microsoft Excel advanced user
  • Ability to use a variety of software programs and tools to analyze and work with large data sets and accomplish tasks efficiently
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to research issues in complex accounting structure to resolve problems; detail-oriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at broader level
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work with a variety of individuals in both team and self-directed environments
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels of management
  • Ability to work within defined time constraints and within deadlines during month end financial close

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with international consolidation accounting, interaction/ presentations with senior management and audit experience
  • Prior experience with Oracle Cloud and Smartview tools
  • Licensed CPA
