Senior Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly internal financial reports and supporting schedules for senior management in a time-sensitive environment
• Assist with the optimization of consolidation and reporting procedures including reducing the time to close and report results
• Assists with implementation and testing of accounting systems, methods, procedures, and controls
• Manage cash deposits, daily cash reconciliation, credit card charge backs and gift card issuance
• Review third party bookkeeping reports to ensure accuracy. Maintain books and records for certain administrative entities and accumulate data required for preparation of certain government-mandated legal entity reports
• Assist in preparing and providing support to external auditors for the regional audit
• Perform special projects and provide ad hoc requests as required by department leadership and other departments and divisions
• Serve as the secondary contact to provide direction and guidance to divisions and departments regarding financial reporting questions and consolidation issues
• Work with tax department to ensure compliance with local reporting and filing requirements
• Assist with completion of the financial statement and internal control audits
• Manage timely reimbursement of expenses for employee expense report
• Utilize and control accounting data system
• Participate in various projects as assigned
• Assisting with financial and tax audits

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles
• Be highly flexible and have the ability to work autonomously 
• Hands-on experience with bookkeeping software, preferably Quickbooks, and AP software, preferably Airbase
• Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
• MS Office Suite (Excel/Word)
• Experience working closely with both outside accounting and outside legal team
