Vonage Finance Mission
We are a critical player in contributing to both short-term and long-term business decisions. We oversee and provide timely and accurate financial information across the organization, to leaders, decision-makers and external stakeholders. We protect company assets, both real and intangible, and ensure financial compliance with country, state and local laws. We serve as an indispensable business partner on topics requiring economic, financial and fiduciary inputs and expertise.
Why This Role Is Important
Vonage Accounting strives to accurately report the company’s financial position and gauge the health of our various departments, ventures and business activities. We also coordinate and direct the company’s financial transactions and ensure proper coding, reconciliation and filing. We work closely with business leaders to ensure mutual understanding and ongoing adherence to company and regulatory requirements. The Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for managing an international team, in completing statutory international filings.

What you will do | General Accounting Execute assigned areas of full cycle accounting calendars (monthly, quarterly and fiscal year-end), including: · Journal entry processing and review, · Collaborating with the marketing function to ensure appropriate accounting for that function, · Account reconciliation and review, · Fluctuation explanations, including budget forecast to actual, · Working closely with the Tax Director and Legal, to ensure international tax and corporate compliance, · Collaboration with local accounting providers for FS preparation and reporting for international entities (including but not limited to Australia, Sweden, China, Luxembourg, France, Polands and Netherlands). · Provide assistance to both internal and external auditors and tax consultants on a timely basis. · Financial statement preparation for UK and Singapore audit.
Team Collaboration · Line management for an internationally based outsourced team. · Ensure team’s understanding of Finance and Accounting departmental interdependencies. · Provide guidance and advice to less experienced team members. |
What you will bring | · Advanced knowledge UK GAAP or IFRS. · Strong understanding of accounting processes. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to: · Use Microsoft Office, including Excel to analyse and present data. · Prioritize multiple tasks and manage each within time constraints and deadlines. · Integrate trends, data and information into forecasts, plans, models and recommendations. · Create financial spreadsheets, charts and reports that accurately and clearly display business performance data. · Desire to understand and gain knowledge of Vonage systems, products and services. |
What is required for application | Required · Accountant with a formal qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and a minimum of 3 years PQE · Knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS · Enterprise accounting software experience required, preferably Oracle, with Oracle Fusion and SmartView is highly preferred · Experience with financial statement preparation and working directly with auditors. · Experience in managing a team · MS Office, including Excel (advanced) & Word |

This job is available in the following locations:
Remote, UK. There is a finance presence in the Vonage London office and therefore it would be preferable for a candidate to be able to go into this office from time to time. The current person attends this location monthly.
