Senior Accounting Manager

The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for leading daily operational functions, including accounting, finance, and treasury management. This includes, but is not limited to payroll processing, monitoring of internal controls, cash flow, and projections, as well as financial reporting for Kx Advisors’ US and UK entities. The Sr. Manager is a key advisor to the senior leadership team, providing input on strategic and operational direction, as well as overall guidance and leadership to the finance and accounting function.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily operations of accounting, finance, and treasury management
• Manage payroll process and ensure the accuracy of payroll submissions and the proper record retention for auditing purposes
• Ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors
• Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
• Oversee activities related to the company's 401k plan
• Oversee US and UK financial reporting and corporate income tax filings to ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Oversee the activities of the general accounting group within the Finance department, including accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, joint ventures and leases
• Provide accurate and timely dissemination of financial information and management reports, and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Oversee disbursement activities and monitor daily cash flow position
• Manage month-end-close and monthly budget review process accurately and timely in conjunction with firm deadlines
• Provide weekly and monthly financial reporting to senior leadership team

Requirements:

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or related field; CPA preferred
• At least 6+ years of accounting and finance experience required; prior managerial and/or controller experience required
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, cost control principles required
• Knowledge of US federal and state financial regulations required
• Ability to prepare financial reports and statements
• Must have strong computer skills and advanced spreadsheeting skills
• Experience in Microsoft QuickBooks preferred
• Excellent communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• Prior experience in consulting firms strongly preferred
• Ability to professionally perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and with balancing competing priorities while maintaining responsiveness and good communication
