Position Overview

Autodesk is embarking on a journey to digitize our finance systems and this is your opportunity to support exciting new business initiatives with a mindset of streamlining manual processes, reducing technical debt.

The Accounting Operations team is responsible for implementing a myriad of projects supporting both customer-facing initiatives and internal reporting initiatives focusing on the quote to revenue reporting process. In this role you will work closely with the Accounting Operations Manager, Engineers, Project Managers, IT architects and other Finance stakeholders. You will be involved in all phases of the project from conceptualization to project rollout. You will participate in project meetings, provide input and guidance, assist in UAT and help rollout changes to the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in project meetings and finance requirement discussions leveraging your knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition
  • Review and provide input to Solution Design document ensuring it meets finance requirements
  • Assist in developing an effective test plan and conduct UAT as well as track and resolve any issues discovered during UAT
  • Analyze and assess accounting, reporting and process impacts of project to Finance systems and processes including risk assessment of undelivered requirements or code
  • Identify and document change to finance systems and processes for company-wide communication and training
  • Provide month end support including analysis of program, journal entry adjustments as needed
  • Support broader team in training efforts and overall transition to the new business models

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of quote to reporting cycle with revenue accounting emphasis in the technology industry
  • Excellent business acumen with ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Effective communication skills and ability to understand and present data
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all organizations as well as independently
  • Proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • "Self-Starter" with excellent quantitative, analytical and data mining skills (analyze, review & interpret data)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Experience working with RAR, SAP, and/or Business Objects or other relevant systems
  • Enthusiastic and creative with the ability to inspire, influence and encourage others in a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, understand priorities and meet deadlines

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $81,800 and $141,130. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
