Job Description

Pay Range $79,500-$93,500 per year 

Purpose of Position:

Manage the Prepared Food plants with timely and accurate accounting controls for the purpose of generating, analyzing and presenting management reports on performance in terms of yields, spending and labor efficiencies. Also to lead the accounting departments at the Livingston Deli, Demopolis, Fernandos, SF Foods prepared food plants.

Essential Job Functions:

P&L, review and approve all daily and weekly meat yield and labor efficiency reports for the four prepared foods facilities.

Prepare and present weekly P&L’s to management.

Research questions from management regarding weekly variances.

Accounting Close, review and approve journal entries for period and year-end close.

Review and prepare AP accruals for prepared food plants.

Prepare/analyze/explain period end variances, comparative reports and spending variances for Prepared Foods division.

Support / Special Projects, develop, analyze and provide plant management & general manager with appropriate analysis, which discovers and defines problems that can be acted upon by management to reduce costs, gain efficiencies and redirect efforts.

Supervision and training of staff in four facilities

Additional Functions:

Prepare, review and assist plant management and R&D personnel with bill of materials.

Assist in preparing annual budgets.

Design and prepare AD-HOC reports for plant management when needed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

B.S. or B.A. in Accounting

Three- five years accounting experience

Must be self-motivating and resourceful

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Prior supervisory experience

Computer skills- G/L, office 97 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Must be able to travel to remote facilities as needed
