Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

ArenaNet is looking for a detailed-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to assist with our accounts payable processes. This role’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, verifying and processing invoices and statements, supporting the month-end close process, resolving discrepancies, collaborating with internal departments and external vendors, and other accounts payable functions as needed. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist should have a strong understanding of the accounts payable process, be detailed-oriented, and experienced in working with large data sets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Receiving, storing, and reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy, coordinating the approval of invoices in the company accounts payable software, Bill.
• Maintain accurate records and manage the accounts payable email inbox, respond to internal and external vendor questions.
• Manage the accounts payable aging balances, research old or disputed amounts as needed, work with vendors to reconcile balances on vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of audits and mandatory filings such as 1099 forms.
• Process credit card transactions and employee expense reports on a weekly basis.
• Assist in vendor management including onboarding and updating records in the accounting system.
• Assist with month-end close and other ad-hoc requests as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields such as Economics or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 3+ years of experience in full cycle Accounts Payable processing including 2+ years of experience working with large data sets
• Experience in utilizing Bill.com, Concur, or other similar accounts payable systems
• Experience in working with an Accounting ERP such as Netsuite
• Working knowledge of accrual-based accounting and prepaids/liabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of foreign currency conversions and exchange rates
