Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant

 What we're looking for:  

We are currently looking for a motivated Senior AR Accountant with an established knowledge of billing customers, collections, applying payments, sales taxes and other related responsibilities. You'll be a core part of our New York based Finance team and work in close collaboration with the Sales and Customer Support teams to provide superior customer service while maintaining the billing cycle.  

We are looking for an accountable individual who will take ownership of their function to drive it to next level. This position reports to the VP, Controller.  

Responsibilities:  

• Prepare monthly customer billings in NetSuite by partnering with the Revenue Operations, Sales and Customer Support teams in accordance with contractual agreements
• Communicate with customers and impacted internal parties on pertinent information
• Apply cash receipts, monitor accounts receivable aging, facilitate collections by collaborating with internal teams and customers
• Reconcile billing and collections transactions and prepare month end journal entries
• Coordinate communications with partner, reseller and referral purchase orders
• Ensure compliance with sales tax and other regulatory requirements
• Drive system implementations and optimizations as well as process improvements

Requirements:  

• 5+ years' experience in billing, collections and similar areas
• Bachelor's degree in a business field preferred
• Familiar with sales tax requirements and expansion into new jurisdictions
• Preferred experience in Netsuite or major ERP system, Floqast, Avalara and Salesforce
• Experience in the SaaS or technology industry
• Exposure to international customers, billing, multi-currency and taxes preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel pivots, lookups and analysis
• Focus on customer service, accuracy, and timeliness
• Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
• A solid desire to learn and drive improvements in a rapidly growing and innovative environment

Compensation 

Base Salary: $105 - $125K. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
