Job Overview:

Safe-Guard's actuarial team is expanding and adding a new Senior Actuarial Analyst position to our Reserving team. Safe-Guard is the leading provider of automotive warranties in North America, providing warranties to a wide variety of clients including: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, GM, and many more.

As a Reserving actuary at Safe-Guard, your responsibilities will include core actuarial responsibilities, such as modeling future claim/refund liabilities. In addition to these core actuarial activities, you will also have an opportunity to engage with our business team and clients, via responsibilities that include managing incentive programs and advising on the financial impact of different segments of business.

Safe-Guard's actuarial team work's side-by-side with our business team. At Safe-Guard you will have an opportunity to expand both your actuarial and business expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior leader on the Reserving team, reporting to the Senior Director of Risk Management.
• Help to formulate actuarial strategy, driving optimal business and financial outcomes.
• Serve as mentor to junior actuarial analysts.
• Calculate required liability for Safe-Guard's automotive warranty book.
• Manage profit shares with Safe-Guard's partners. Profit shares are incentive programs that encourage Safe-Guard's partners to sell profitable business by allowing partners to participate in insurance profits.
• Collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including: Accounting, Finance, Sales, Claims, Underwriting, and external partners. Role will present and regularly communicate with executive leadership.
• Collaborate with senior actuarial team to determine annual underwriting budget.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent
• 6+ years of actuarial experience in the P&C industry
• Prior experience in either Pricing or Reserving required.
• ACAS or better required.
• Experience working in SQL
• Strong communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S

• Must be able to successfully pass a background check
