Senior Actuarial Analyst - Remote

What Is Your Purpose:

This role is responsible for supporting Actuarial Management

What You Will Be Doing:

• Support and analyze activities related to the Direct Pay, Local Group and National Accounts Market Segment and all lines of business
• Maintenance and improvement of Actuarial analyses such as trend setting, gross margin reporting, and financial forecasting
• Rate analysis and development
• Actuarial representation on cross-functional workgroups as an active participant
• Forecast/variance analysis and reporting
• Product development support
• Segmentation support

What you Must Have:

• Math/Statistics/Actuarial Science or related bachelor's degree required
• 2+ years of related successful, progressive professional work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education
• Completion of 3 or more examinations from the Society of Actuaries
• Ability to communicate and present detailed business and financial information in a clear and concise way to all levels of management

What We Prefer You Have:

• Background in health field or insurance field
• SAS and/or SQL experience
• Familiarity with programming languages
• PC software (spreadsheets, graphics, word processors)

General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
