Senior Administrative Manager - Executive Leadership Team
The Executive Leadership Team support staff currently provide administrative support to the Vice Presidents of Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, and Operations, the Executive Coach, the Chief of Staff, and the President, Ball Aerospace.
This individual manages at least two (2) administrative staff that comprise the Executive Leadership Team support staff, and provides direct administrative support to the President, Ball Aerospace. Routine exercise of independent judgment, initiative, managing multiple tasks, and extreme discretion handling highly sensitive information is required.
What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate and/or supervise work with other activities, resolve conflicts, interpret policy, determine, recommend, and/or implement creative solutions.
  • Employee supervision: This position will have supervisory responsibility of two or more administrative staff supporting the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Functional management of assigned administrative: Responsibilities include hiring, workload monitoring, performance management, training plans, career development, and team collaboration.
  • Conceive and develop solutions to administrative challenges through the applications of professionally accepted administrative techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Recommend, interpret, and implement company and internal administrative policies and procedures.
  • Administrative support for the President, Ball Aerospace, and Chief of Staff. Responsibilities to include:
    • Calendar management, scheduling meetings, conflict resolution and adjudication of times at multiple worksites.
    • General administrative support to include preparing for meetings, coordination of background/briefing materials, gathering of agenda items, action item tracking, facilitating approval requests, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support visiting VIP customers and stakeholders.
    • Assisting the Chief of Staff in the preparation for and execution of Executive Leadership Team meetings and engagements.
    • Coordinating with internal stakeholders on the scheduling and preparation for All-Hands meetings at Ball Aerospace facilities in the Denver/Boulder area as well as other domestic satellite offices, including scheduling, preparation of presentation materials, and procuring appropriate support staff.
    • Facilitate support of travel and expense reports.
  • Liaison with Ball Corporation support staff. Responsibilities to include:
    • Coordinating financial, capital, and related reviews with Ball Corporate leadership.
    • Facilitating corporate leadership access to Aerospace facilities.
    • Managing all Aerospace use requests for corporate aviation support.
    • Coordinating Ball Aerospace requests for use of the Ball Arena.
    • Other coordinating duties as assigned.
  • Support all administrative team members in maintaining an engaged and collaborative workforce.
  • Paramount in this role is the need for discretion and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel, operations, and business matters.
  • Perform in an open and sometimes stressful environment with many interruptions while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrate high caliber customer service capabilities in support of the business objectives.
  • Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Executive Leadership Team, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:
  • BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance highly desired, but not required. Selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance in the future.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to form trusting relationships with staff of key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Must be able to handle confidential material and information on a regular basis, maintain discretion and display a high degree of trust and professionalism.
  • High integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to plan and anticipate needs.
  • Excellent calendar management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent communication and presentation preparation skills.
  • Proven ability to perform a variety of administrative and managerial duties requiring initiative and exercise of independent judgment while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interact and communicate professionally and diplomatically with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as external constituencies.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands and produce desired results.
  • Embracing of diverse and inclusive environments.
  • Demonstrated employee management experience.

Flexible On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three or more days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
  • Ball Aerospace is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies. Please remember that regardless of the legalization of marijuana in Colorado and other states, possession and use continues to be illegal under the federal Controlled Substances Act. This includes the use of some CBD products. A post-offer, pre-employment drug test is a condition of employment.
  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

A current DoD clearance and/or SCI access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position, however applicant must be willing and eligible for submission within 60-90 days after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access. Compensation & Benefits:
  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $124,500 - $172,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
