Senior Administrator - PLM Implementation Training Lead and Change Practitioner
Come join a fun, fast-paced team as we design and develop the next generation product lifecycle management foundation that will provide key capabilities to support Ball Aerospace programs for decades to come! As a key contributor to the Ball Aerospace Engineering organization, this position will involve planning, design, and coordination of learning experiences for Ball Aerospace's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system implementation. The individual in this position may also be expected to support content development of learning experiences as required. The individual in this position is expected to provide direction to training content developers and effectively engage with all levels of Engineering management and other stakeholders to establish course objectives and ensure course content is consistent and compliant. In addition, this individual will lead the coordination of all change impacts associated with the PLM system implementation and develop training, communication, and other change practitioner strategies to ensure employees are informed, aware, and prepared to take on forthcoming changes as a result of the implementation.
What You'll Do:
  • Consult and partner with stakeholders, people managers, Solution Design product owners, and the internal project team to assess technical development needs and approaches.
  • Design and coordinate the execution of the training curriculum required for deployment to business.
  • Lead and provide direction to training content developers to execute development and maintenance of training content.
  • Support the development of training content and delivery using e-Learning development tools on an as-needed basis to support the team.
  • Partner with the training content developers, the workstream leads, and other stakeholders to facilitate the set up and logistics for classes, including schedule management.
  • Partner with the training content developers to ensure learning materials are accessible, consistent, and compliant with policies, regulations, and business requirements.
  • Develop metrics and evaluate feedback to continuously improve training offerings and learning material.
  • Manage the project Change Impact Assessment to track forthcoming changes to end users as a result of the new PLM implementation.
  • Conduct change impact analyses, identify key stakeholders, and lead development and implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes.
  • Partner with the Technical Deployment Lead to measure project success metrics and monitor change progress and user adoption over time.
  • Partner with the Deployment/OCM workstream lead to incorporate training and change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Identify, track, report, and address all risks, issues, actions, and opportunities associated with training and change impact management.
  • Promote development of a strong team by participating in key aspects of the project and mentoring more junior team members. When delegating, establish clear expectations by providing well-defined tasks with clear entrance/exit criteria, due dates, and associated budgets.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentations skills and ability to lead group discussions.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:
  • BS/BA in a related field plus 8 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Experience creating and coordinating learning experiences. Familiarity with instructional design models and principles.
  • Experience planning, developing, and translating technical training content into effective learning material and training on new tools and processes.
  • Experience with course-authoring tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar).
  • Leadership skills to set direction, create goals in alignment with business requirements and timelines, prioritize operational and project tasks, and enforce accountability.
  • Excellent customer service, accountability, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess excellent critical and creative thinking skills that result in effective decision making and priority setting.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid project management skills and experience collaborating effectively in a cross-disciplinary environment.
  • Solid organizational skills and comfort operating at a fast pace.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, product development lifecycle, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Aerospace and Defense industry, and associated program execution processes preferred.
  • Prior experience implementing an enterprise software system preferred.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $91,500 - $124,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
