Job Description

Position Purpose/Scope
The primary objective of this position is to implement core elements of the Agile working model within the Feature Team, facilitating the delivery and support of IT application development. The role involves coordinating technical and functional development efforts, overseeing all aspects of IT applications, and ensuring adherence to project management standards.
Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- **Agile Methodology Adherence**: Ensure compliance with Agile principles, including the organization and moderation of Sprint reviews and Retrospectives.
- **Coaching**: Provide guidance to feature teams on effective collaboration, moderation techniques, and Agile best practices.
- **Initiative Support**: Assist in implementing large-scale initiatives across multiple feature teams using scaled Agile methodologies.
- **Impediment Management**: Identify and eliminate obstacles for feature teams, maintaining an impediment backlog as needed.
- **Backlog Management**: Collaborate with the Product Owner to effectively distribute backlog items, ensuring risk mitigation and knowledge transfer.
- **Performance Visualization**: Utilize appropriate metrics to track team performance and promote continuous improvement.
- **Identifying Deficits**: Recognize areas for improvement within processes and collaboration.
- **Team Protection**: Safeguard feature teams from unauthorized interruptions during sprints.
- **Information Flow Management**: Oversee communication between the Product Owner and feature teams.
- **Project Management Support**: Provide support for various projects, ensuring compliance with established project management standards throughout all phases.
- **Monitoring Project Elements**: Track project timelines, costs, quality, and risks.
- **Documentation Compliance**: Ensure that all project documentation adheres to current standards.
- **System Support**: Assist users by providing support and training for complex IT environments.
- **Project Coordination**: Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects, overseeing planning, development, and implementation.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Meet with stakeholders to define business requirements and resolve systems issues.
- **System Analysis**: Review existing systems for effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement.
- **Testing Coordination**: Conduct in-depth testing, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- **Research**: Investigate software products to support purchasing decisions.
- **Other Duties**: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience (4+ years in IT application development and support).
Experience
- **Agile Methodologies**: 5+ years of experience in various Agile methodologies with a strong understanding of core Agile elements.
- **IT Applications**: 5+ years in planning, analysis, design, testing, and implementation of IT applications.
- **Project Management**: 5+ years in managing small to medium-sized projects.
- **Customer Service**: 5+ years in a customer-focused environment.
- **Collaborative Work**: 5+ years in a team-oriented setting.
- **Scaled Agile Framework**: 3+ years of experience working within a scaled Agile framework.
 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- 5+ years of experience with IT governance and the system development life cycle.
- Basic understanding of business operations and database management.
- Familiarity with operating systems and IT infrastructure.
Primary Work Location/Shift
- Primary: Office location (90%)
- Other locations: Up to 10%
