Senior Aircraft Applications Engineer

Overview
The Gogo Business Senior Aircraft Application Engineer is the primary technical resource to our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners. Working in conjunction with a Gogo account manager(s) you are Gogo's product advocate for Type Certification, Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and ongoing support at the OEM level. Aircraft Application Engineers must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to ensure that our end customers have the highest level of satisfaction with our products. The Aircraft Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain a strong working relationship and open communication channel with our OEM(s) and Gogo account managers.
The successful candidate will display a high degree of professionalism, analytical engineering expertise, troubleshooting skills, and have excellent communication skills.

How will you make a difference?

• Maintain an expert level of knowledge for all Gogo products and applications
• Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical audiences
• Provide design and specification development support to business aircraft OEM(s)
• Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements to Gogo Product Managers
• Keep accurate records, opportunities, contacts, and correspondence with OEMs
• Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with Gogo's mission, values, and financial objectives
• Foster professional business relationships with target accounts
• Communicate status reports of ongoing and future projects
• Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
• Ensure the flow of knowledge to all team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Networking, related field or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years working experience with Aircraft OEMs or experience as Flight Department Director of Maintenance
• Ability to travel 25% of the time
• Must be able to work weekends and/or off-hours as necessary

Required Skills, Talents & Experience

• Ability to read, comprehend and generate wiring diagrams and schematics
• General knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations
• Demonstrated experience in writing technical support documents
• Innovative ability to implement alternate solutions to resolve issues, while remaining within Gogo's Parts Manufacturing Approval and ensuring system performance
• Excellent customer interaction skills

• Ability to work with a high level of urgency while maintaining accuracy

Base Pay:
101,200.00 - 126,500.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
