Senior Alfresco Developer (Remote)

Description

Armedia is seeking an Alfresco Developer/Administrator working as part of and/or leading a team on the design and implementation of Alfresco-centric solutions using either traditional SDLC or Agile software development methodologies. This position can be fully remote, however, candidates that are local to the DC Metro area are highly preferred.

The Alfresco developer will implement creative solutions to complex problems, which may include introducing new systems to our technology stacks, reworking data models, re-thinking persistence layers, or simply taking an active role in code reviews. An essential part of Armedia's requirements for the senior software developer will be to evangelize product excellence for enterprise-grade application development. They will be expected to mentor and learn from our team of world-class developers and mentor junior developers.

You will be expected to know and understand the full Alfresco content management suite and the ADF framework. Experience in developing and converting Share applications is preferred. You must also have Java design and development concepts and should have significant prior experience with designing and implementing complex solutions or worked on a team that has implemented Enterprise wide solutions. You will be expected to be able to develop and deploy web applications from any of the popular IDEs into Tomcat or any JEE application server.

Specific technology areas and responsibilities include:

• Alfresco Share and ADF

• Using Alfresco application clustering to support distributed processing so that the solution supports High Availability (HA) and failover in the event of an issue with the primary deployment

• Integrating Alfresco solutions with enterprise application components such as Email, Message Queues (MQ), Scanning (Ephesoft, Captiva), integration using CMIS to other ECM solutions.

• Responsible for designing the architecture and developing Alfresco-based software solutions as well as researching latest software product features

• Design and perform upgrades to Alfresco software and/or migrate data to Alfresco

• Provide expert recommendations on Alfresco system features that maximize investment and increase business value through software solutions

• Develop Alfresco-based prototypes/ proof of concepts to demonstrate capabilities for enterprise document management, collaboration, business process management, and records management based on customer requirements

• Developing enterprise-grade applications using Java 8/JEE (and higher), AngularJS, React.js, SQL, Spring, and HTML5, among other tools.

• Building highly scalable web applications to support document management, case management, data analysis and visualization for enterprise level projects.

• Creating design documentation, program and test applications, and iterate through the project life cycle.

• Implementation of DevOps technologies, processes and procedures to support continuous integration and delivery to cloud based infrastructures

Required (minimum) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum of ten (10) years of software development experience

Preferred (optimum) Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Alfresco certifications listed: ACSCA, ACSCE, APSCA or APSCE

• AWS Associate certification in any area

• SCRUM (CSM, SSM, SCP or CSP) certification

• Security+ certification
