The Senior Allocation & Supply Manager - North America will support the Head Of Procurement (Global Property) to develop and deliver the JD Group growth strategy. As a highly organized individual, you will lead a team of allocation and supply professionals. This team is responsible for stock forecasting, allocation of stock (fixtures and fittings) from global and local suppliers as well as managing the final mile delivery process. The role will include responsibility for delivering brand partners shop in shop concepts. Our rapid growth program is dependent on tracking in-bound freight and ensuring there are no barriers to the store construction process. Working closely with the Senior Property Procurement Manager, strong processes will be developed and implemented to support our construction teams whilst ensuring best value is achieved. This individual will effectively exhibit JD North America's core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports and develops the JD North America logistics strategy through the development of company owned sites or third party logistic providers.
  • Effectively communicates with all stakeholders in the property, retail and cost teams to ensure there are no barriers to the store growth program.
  • Supports the global procurement team to effectively forecast and manage stock levels from both global and local vendors.
  • Ensures our final mile delivery process is robust, cost effective and efficient whilst ensuring each project has a clearly defined delivery schedule.
  • Tracks overspends and unnecessary costs and issues reports regularly.
  • Effectively reports on multiple areas of our stock management process including shortages on site, mis picks and overages.
  • Constantly reviewing all processes while identifying cost efficiencies.
  • Supports internal cost teams with PO management while supporting the supplier base with any invoice requirements.
  • Works closely with the Property Procurement Team to brief tenders and deliver cost efficiency in all areas of our business.
  • Manages the receipt of goods at store level.
  • Liaises with global teams and third party providers for brand shop in shops, call off and final mile delivery / installation (where applicable).
  • Tracks all property planners, identifies and manages risk to the store opening program.
  • Manages the roll out of multiple group brands across the whole of North America.
  • Tracks local vendor spend and supports the Property Procurement Team with vendor reviews.
  • Implements key performance indicators / service level agreements and support contract negotiations where applicable.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Numerical and analytical skills / commercially aware.
  • Clear understanding of the principles of supply chain management and allocation.
  • Experience in Warehouse Management systems.
  • Understand the principles of Just in time and Final mile deliveries.
  • Strong communication skills are a must.
  • Previous experience in a logistics / Purchasing or Procurement background.
  • Ability to adjust to real-time situations and adapt accordingly.
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders across the group at all levels.
  • Experience of working on multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft, Google, Smartsheets / Excel.
  • Self motivated with the ability to lead a team.
  • Proficient in developing strategy across multiple fields.
  • Travel throughout North America may be required.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Previous Supply / allocation experience is essential, ideally within a fast-paced retail sector for 5+ years.
  • Highly effective Planning skills - critical path management is a must.
  • Supply or Logistics related qualification would be preferred but not essential.
