POSITION DESCRIPTION: Drive business analysis and insights for one of our most vital business units, the TripAdvisor Advertiser and Partner Solutions Media business; Work closely with media planning, product, sales, and client-facing partners to uncover actionable insights that support the Media business unit; Support numerous end users from an analytics and measurement perspective and provide the highest quality data-driven insights; Find opportunities to drive customer growth and revenue through analysis of performance metrics; Provide timely insights and analytical support to different internal business stakeholders (including product, marketing and sales) to support effective business decision-making; Analyze A/B testing or multivariate testing analysis to provide insights into true business impact; Use clickstream analytics and transactional data to identify sources of traffic and with which areas of the site, content and media users are engaging; Work on large-scale clickstream, Google Ad Manager, DV360, email and other large datasets to generate insights for your stakeholders and optimize revenue opportunities; Test new event tracking to ensure the accuracy of our data; Track business performance across our various products and solutions; Work with data engineering teams to ensure reliable and timely data is available for analyses and reporting; Analyze current business operating metrics, focused on developing the capability to provide insight into TripAdvisor's Media products; Assist with ad hoc queries and provide analytical support to our business as it evolves; maintain a working knowledge of data mining and visualization best practices; Bring a practical bent to analytic problem solving, identifying the most efficient solutions to complex challenges; Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to build analytics plans for new products and features, helping the stakeholders to understand which metrics need to be measured and which events need to be tracked; Ability to align and balance the demands of competing stakeholders, ensuring that we're working on the top priorities for the business with minimal input from your manager; Create clear and concise documentation of your results and dashboards and communicate results of your work to the relevant stakeholder teams; Set expectations proactively around project progress and completion schedules; Contribute to and influence the direction of team initiatives to improve efficiency, culture, or processes; and Proactively highlight issues blocking the forward progress on a project and set accurate expectations with manager on current set of work. REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business, Marketing Analytics, or a related field plus twenty-four (24) months of experience in the job offered or a Senior Analyst-related occupation. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following: • Ability to work with large dataset and summarize findings in a clear format; • Combine creative and pragmatic use of insight and data with attention to detail; • SQL, Tableau, XML, Hive and Snowflake; • Developing standards, defining KPIs and ensuring high-quality output; • Creating end-to-end views of the business that enable a deeper understanding of customer experience and business performance; • Working with Jira, Confluence and Airtable; • Creating and testing complex Data ETLs and Pipelines; • Statistical packages including Python, SAS, R, or SPSS; • Working with large-scale data; • Web and App clickstream, CRM, Google Ad Manager, and DV360; • Demonstrable experience with Order Management System data including Operative One and Placements.IO.
