Senior Analyst

Duties include cleaning and conducting analysis of various employee benefits-related datasets, including assorted files maintained by plans for recordkeeping purposes, financial data, health claims data, pharmacy data, Form 5500, and Form M-1 data; consulting with EBSA staff about statistical sampling; drafting memos and reports summarizing results of analysis; developing and refining training material on statistical and analytical topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
• The Senior Analyst must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in performing social science research or data analysis work, a minimum of five (5) years of experience serving as a senior analyst or in an equivalent position, and a minimum of a master’s degree. The senior analyst must have subject matter expertise in employee benefit plans, Form 5500, health plan claims data, and applied knowledge of statistical sampling methodology.
• Must have work experience cleaning and manipulating complex and very large datasets. Must have advanced SAS skills, advanced Excel skills, and working knowledge of Stata and R.
Minimum Qualifications:
• The Senior Analyst must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in performing social science research or data analysis work, a minimum of five (5) years of experience serving as a senior analyst or in an equivalent position, and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• The senior analyst must have work experience cleaning and manipulating complex and very large datasets, knowledge of statistical sampling methodology, and advanced SAS and Excel skills.
