Senior Analyst - Close and Consolidations - Carmel, Indiana (Hybrid)

Allegion is hiring a Senior Analyst of Close and Consolidations. In this role, you are responsible for our financial transactions and financial reporting of the company, including the consolidation of reporting packages to support external reporting initiatives. This role reports directly to our Director of Consolidations based in our Carmel, Indiana office.

What You Will Do:

• Assist with the monthly financial close process to ensure that all transactions are posted correctly and reflected accurately on the financial reports.
• Analyze data to identify problems and/or issues and work with other members of the global accounting team to resolve.
• Prepare consolidated support schedules for quarterly reporting packages.
• Ownership and accounting for certain Corporate Holding companies
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the consolidated financial statements, including the income statement (P&L), balance sheet (BS), and cash flow statement (CFS).
• Analyze consolidated results for reasonableness and obtain explanations for any unexpected results in preparing the consolidated financial statements (BS, P&L, CFS).
• Preparation of detailed analysis for, but not limited to: investment in affiliate / stockholders' equity; IC P&L accounts / IC BS accounts.
• Integration of acquisitions as needed including: set up of entity and mapping of related chart of accounts within Hyperion, as well as, aiding in opening balance sheet tracking during one year accounting window.
• Fulfill ad-hoc requests from internal and external constituents.
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders throughout the organization globally.
• Assist in preparation of various government reports.
• Work with internal and external auditors to support their audits/SOX compliance.
• Assist in tasks related to acquisitions and divestitures of businesses, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required & CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting experience with 2+ years in public accounting.
• Experience with close and consolidation processes preferred.
• Strong grasp of financial statements and the key aspects of U.S. GAAP that relate to consolidation of financial statements.
• Hyperion (HFM)/Oracle experience preferred.
• Must have extensive experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines required.
• Must be driven with strong analytical skills and be detail oriented and well organized.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Sense of urgency in performing tasks required for role while keeping data quality and integrity and in helping the global finance community.
