What We Do
Middle Office - Collateral Management Group Overview and Team Functions
The Collateral Operations group is a global team within the Global Operations & Technology division of BNY Mellon responsible for supporting our clients' collateral and portfolio reconciliations by providing middle office functions and solutions. Our clients include pension funds, endowments, mutual funds, hedge funds and other large financial institutions using derivatives to manage their financial risks. We provide processing, inquiry and general support for our clients while working to improve and automate transaction processing systems. We are a Center of Excellence maximizing specific knowledge around the collateralization of complex derivative products, including swaps, options, forwards, and futures.
Senior Analyst, Collateral Management Role Overview
This role involves day to day exposure to calculations, margin call processing, client communication and deliverables, counterparty communication, internal reconciliations and reporting and trade settlements.

Standard Job Responsibilities
Works with external clients to resolve moderately complex day-to-day issues and direct them to appropriate resources at BNY Mellon. Supports clients in addressing moderately complex operational and technical issues and ensuring requests are executed. Applies intermediate problem-solving skills, experience and judgement to analyze information. Uses communication skills to deliver high quality service to a specialized client base. Provides clients information related to BNY Mellon products and services representing multiple lines of business and geographies and directs them to the appropriate resources, as needed. Leverages a good understanding of broader BNY Mellon services and offerings. Monitors client inquiries, resolves non-routine issues and escalates complex issues to the appropriate team member, as needed. Uses knowledge of client issues and needs to contribute to business development efforts. Participates in internal activities and initiatives designed to improve the client experience. Recommends process improvements. May have people management responsibilities in some geographies. Provides guidance to less experienced team members. Supports multiple, moderately complex client accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Three to five (3-5) years of total work experience is preferred.
- Experience in an operational area and/or client services is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) Reconciliation application experience.
- Microsoft Suite application(s) experience.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking skills.
