The Role: Senior Analyst, Cross-Border Support (Open to Location)
The Finance Operations Cross-Border Support team is looking for a Sr. Analyst to join their growing team. The Sr. Analyst will work closely with the HR, Finance, Legal, Tax and other support teams at the direction of the Sr. Manager for Cross-Border Support. This position will be highly skilled in verbal and written communication.
The Finance Cross-Border Support team resides within the internal Accounting and Finance Department. This team has oversight responsibilities for the review and authorization of all cross-border travel for Slalom employees for Slalom work. They collaborate with internal departments to access risk for the employee and company resulting from cross border work, gathering rules/requirements from other internal groups (primarily Immigration, Tax, Information Security, Legal, Safety, Travel Ops, Accounting) to help support all Slalom markets worldwide. The ideal candidate will manage the Cross-Border inquiry queue with unwavering accuracy and timeliness, be exceedingly organized with a high emotional IQ and able to implement/communicate processes and policies in a fast-paced environment. The FinOps - Cross-Border Support Sr. Analyst will do extensive research, coordinate between internal SME teams, summarize the information gathered and provide packages to Cross-Border Support Leadership on personal remote work, engagement and cross-border travel for each travel case. They will be responsible for tracking all employees time spent cross-border and complete timely ad-hoc projects at the Cross-Border Support Leadership's direction.
What you'll do:
- Review and research actions for all cross-border travel
- Manage the work queue daily and maintain 24hr SLA
- Audit and research travel expenses for cross-border travel
- Communicate and enforce policy/procedure on basic requests
- Responsible for complex/gray inquires, escalations and coordination from multiple SMEs
- Track cross border work for employees
- Audit employee expenses from the travel portal and expense entry tools
- Maintain inquiry log reports, analyze and report on trends
- Coordinate calls with market leaders and prepare packages for calls
- Proven history of success in finance operations
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Detail orientated with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Capable of researching multiple congruent requests uniquely and efficiently
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Prior experience in any of the following areas consulting, tax, immigration, infosec, finance operations/accounting
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Strong technology skills, including data analysis tools, and ability to learn new technology quickly
- Service minded with experience deciphering ambiguous requests and taking ownership
