Job Title – Senior Analyst - Data Analytics and Insights

The Purpose of This Role

As a Data Analyst in Fidelity, you will be working closely with members of Fidelity’s Corporate Audit, business, risk, and IT functions to find opportunities where data can provide insight into risk. You will participate in all phases of a data analytics project lifecycle – from framing the business question/hypothesis, identifying the appropriate data sources, sourcing the relevant data, performing analytics, and reporting on the results. You will use data to answer ad-hoc questions and develop data-centric solutions that will be deployed to users throughout the firm.

• Perform database queries to analyze and validate data

• Respond to business questions and queries on the accuracy and quality of the data

• Perform detailed data analysis to support changes to reports and/or processes

• Proactively analyze and tackle problems and issues associated with the data

• Detailed understanding of the process and the products supported

• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

• Assess the criticality of the issues and advance and/or communicate to the management as appropriate for timely resolution

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

• Demonstrated proficiency with OBIEE

• Relational databases and are adept in PL/SQL, scripting (Unix or DOS)

• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills

• Seek attention to detail, are collaborative and ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

• You have experience working with big data environments demonstrating languages/technologies such as R, Python, Hadoop, or SAS

• Knowledge of Audit, Risk, or Security function

• Built interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Tableau

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)

• 3-5 years of significant experience in Data Analytics.

• Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly in the retail and institutional businesses, is desired

Shift timings: 9:00 am - 6:00pm
