We are seeking a Senior Analyst- Data Strategy to join our team at the Nissan North Americas Headquarters in Franklin, TN.

Job Summary:

The Data Strategy Lead Analyst plays a vital role in the implementation of Nissan's Digital Transformation efforts. Using a combination of business acumen and data familiarity, the Data Strategy Lead Analyst takes a lead role in establishing cross-functional partnerships to promote a high level of collaboration required to accelerate data and analytics-related projects. This position plays an important role by seamlessly translating between technical and non-technical teams and developing and implements strategies to help advance data literacy. The Data Strategy Lead Analyst is a change agent who leads the data and analytics community of practice meetings and helps to plan periodic summits intended to create synergies across Nissan's data and analytics teams.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Advises and informs leadership to keep the organization's Data Strategy rooted in best practices while also remaining aware of Nissan's unique culture and the adjustments that need to be made for successful implementation. Places particular emphasis on the "People" aspect of People/Process/Technology needed for a successful Data & Analytics strategy

2. Serves as a champion for the company's Data Strategy. Establishes regular cross-functional touchpoints to build trust and keep a close pulse on the data and analytics needs coming from the business. Helps to translate organizational needs to data and technology teams in a way that is actionable, while also communicating approaches and strategies to the business in a way that is easy to understand.

3. Identifies business needs and opportunities for upskilling with data literacy efforts and then partners with IS/IT teams to establish enterprise-wide programs that meet users where they are at. Serves as the Product Owner for new data literacy products that are developed.

4. Consolidates, develops and socializes resources to help accelerate data and analytics work. Examples include curation of relevant training material and desk references posted to the company's learning management platform as well as content to be shared following strategic meetings and summits.

5. Serves as a change agent for digital acceleration. Acts as a central information hub by sharing cross-functional successes, connecting teams and individuals across the organization, and adds routine value by hosting monthly data and analytics community of practice meetings.

6. Co-plans, develops and hosts periodic data and analytics summits with the IS/IT organization.

Regularly researches trends and best practices, across industries, to help inform recommendations being raised to enhance data strategy and data literacy efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Job Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of information technologies, standards, and best practices prevalent in data strategy, data literacy and digital culture change. Familiarity with data management principles and practices. Demonstrated individual performance while working cross-functionally in a lead role. Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with ability to exercise independent judgment and collaboratively bring issues to a successful conclusion. Familiarity with project management methodologies and working as part of an Agile team.

1. Relationship and Communications Skills

Ability to communicate successfully with stakeholders at all levels to successfully build consensus, influence without authority, and get decisions implemented. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills required. Ability to bridge business and technical concepts. Ability to provide guidance and direction to technical teams including those who work offshore and/or remote.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Tools. Experience with SQL and familiarity with data management and data preparation tools and approaches. Experience working with relational databases a must. Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.

2. Years of Experience:

5-7 years of data, analytics, or similar work experience. Ability to demonstrate deep understanding of how data supports business strategy, how it is used within business processes, and its impact. Relevant experience implementing data literacy programs is preferred.

3. Education:

A bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or business-related field is required.

Occasional day or overnight domestic travel.
