About the Role:
We are looking for a derivative analyst to support and enhance the T. Rowe Price derivative processes and its research ambitions. This analyst would provide a point of coordination as well as quantitative, technical, and analytical support across the investment organization.
The analyst would collaborate with the trading teams, technology teams, modelling teams, and many other business units to enhance the derivatives platform.

Challenges and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Planning:
- Support and enhance the derivative data strategy across the organization.
- Partner closely with Global Technology and their data initiatives
- Design innovative solutions for asset-class, regional, investment strategy and global derivative data challenges.
- Analysis and Insights:
- Support research efforts around derivative implementation in our portfolios
- Influence how the organization approaches derivatives challenges and opportunities
- Communicate important insights to business leaders
- Efficiency and Scale:
- Support the DMATS team in the development and improvement of operational processes, data quality, standards, governance processes and data availability
- Communication and Culture:
- Support knowledge-sharing and subject matter expertise across business units
- Coordinate with business data owners and data stewards across the data architecture
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, Economics)
- Programming experience in R, Python and SQL essential
- Understanding of financial mathematics and portfolio concepts. Applications to fixed income and derivative instruments would be an advantage
- Understanding of data science, data analysis, and data visualization
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively and solve problems creatively
- Self-motivated, independent, and curious
- Enthusiasm for investing, finance, and global capital markets
