We are looking for a team member to lead, improve, and own Sojern’s variable compensation analysis. The Senior Analyst will partner closely with the Commercial Strategy team to help execute strategies for variable compensation plans through data extraction, analysis, and actionable commentary. The analyst will support the implementation, evaluation, and administration of variable compensation plans that effectively measure and reward behaviors that lead to results.  This role will also support and/or lead finance initiatives outside of our compensation program including reporting on the company cash position and cash forecast.

The Team:

This role will be a member of the high-functioning Disbursements Team. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional user-experience for our business partners. This role will have the ability to interact with other teams at all levels in the organization, allowing the opportunity to add significant value to all Sojern employees. 

What you will do:

  • Become familiar with Sojern’s sales cycle, roles, and business initiatives to understand the effect on variable compensation plan reporting.
  • Provide reporting and analysis for sales compensation execution, as well as other sales compensation projects.
  • Proactively drive ad hoc reporting aimed at process optimization/automation, plan evaluation, or evidence based plan design changes.
  • Calculate monthly and quarterly variable compensation payouts. This includes ensuring the calculations are accurate and in accordance with the plan(s).
  • Calculate and prepare the monthly variable pay accrual to support the month-end close process.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies or exceptions and effectively communicate outcomes to leaders.
  • Assist in preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management decisions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasting models based on historical data and business projections.
  • Collaborate with finance and other relevant departments to gather data and insights that impact cash flow.
  • Monitor actual cash flows against forecasted amounts and investigate and explain variances.
  • Duties may include supporting multiple markets across the globe.

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience (preferred in business, finance, or a related field)
  • 6+ years operations or analytics experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
  • 2+ years of Tableau & Salesforce experience with respect to activity tracking and reporting preferred
  • Ability to be laser focused on detail and quality of one’s output
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data filters/sorts 
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies and able to work independently & cross-functionally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate to veteran sales representatives and executives
  • Possesses the drive to participate and succeed in the growth of an extremely fast-paced, exciting company
