What is the opportunity?

This role supports compliance with federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action legal and regulatory requirements by developing and maintaining written programs, conducting numerical and statistical analyses, compiling, preparing and submitting reports and auditing internal data and recordkeeping systems.

What will you do?

  • Prepare the numerical required components for the federal and state affirmative action program using a vendor software program. This includes the establishment of placement goals, reviewing the adverse impact of hires, promotions, and terminations.
  • Develop and maintain written affirmative action programs which include customized and regulatory-compliant narrative documents and numerical analyses.
  • Extract, prepare and compile employee census data for various reporting and analytical purposes including affirmative action programs, EEO-1 reports, VEVRAA reports, the Minnesota Annual Compliance report, CA Pay Reporting, IL Pay Certificate, IL Workforce Certificate, NJ Workforce Certificate, RFPs, and requests during an OFCCP or state compliance evaluations submissions and any ad hoc reports; create reports and complete required analyses using appropriate software: file all agency reports as required; and review and interpret data and results to identify deficiencies, problems, trends and regulatory risk
  • Extract, prepare and compile employment activity and compensation data for various reporting and analytical purposes; create reports and complete statistical analyses using appropriate software: review and interpret data and results to determine goals progress and, to identify deficiencies problems, trends and regulatory risk.
  • Audit recruitment, applicant flow, hire, promotion, termination and employee data record keeping and collection processes, procedures for appropriateness, consistency with regulatory requirements, and uniform and consistent application; identify and report on problems and deficiencies and initiate action to correct and improve processes and data quality.
  • Participate on project teams, complete special projects or assume additional responsibilities needed to ensure compliance with EEO/affirmative action regulatory requirements or that are necessary to the operation of the EEO/affirmative action function.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of federal and, where appropriate, state regulatory requirements and any proposed changes; proactively recommend and initiate improvements and efficiencies to current EEO/affirmative action processes, systems and procedures according to these requirements.
  • Complete requests for business unit needs including, D&I surveys, requests for proposals, reduction in force impact evaluations, and other demographic information requests that are sensitive.
  • Update EEO and affirmative action statements that are posted on-line and used for request for proposals and D&I responses.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, business or statistics
  • 2+ years of experience in extracting and analyzing human resources data
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft Excel including proficiency in creating Pivot Tables and Macros with strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with demonstrated success in working effectively as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Detail orientation including the ability review and edit large volumes data for deficiencies and trends
  • Demonstrated success in organizing and managing projects and deadlines

Nice-to-have

  • 2+ years of experience in creating affirmative action programs
  • SAP and Workday knowledge and experience
  • Financial industry work experience
  • Experience in using customized affirmative action plan development software
