Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Finance is responsible for performing financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis functions integral to supporting the business operations of Ultra.


What you'll do:
  • Assist with the Month-End, Quarter End Financial Close, and Year-End Close including:
  • Journal Entries/Accruals.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Digital Revenue Analysis to monitor over/under accruals by GDB.
  • Marketing Expense Review (Input Marketing Budgets into MPS).
  • Non-JV Talent/Artist Study Review.
  • JV Talent Study Review.
  • Deal Analysis.
  • Ad Hoc Reports.
  • Submit to Global Finance monthly forecast, annual business review plan, and the restated annual business plan into IP/BPC (forecast overhead by multiple cost centers and non-overhead by the various channels) for several entities.
  • Assist with preparing Annual Target and Budget Schedules/Presentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new processes (consistent with other Sony labels) for budgeting marketing and recording costs as well as issuing POs and paying invoices.
  • Review and approve purchase orders in Console. Release for payment invoices in Console.
  • Prepare monthly and mid-month actuals versus forecast by monitoring and approving employee T&E spend and providing analysis on actual vs. budgeted activity.
  • Support talent/recording costs tracking and analysis.
  • Liaise with the Royalty Department regarding royalty statements, particularly costs charged to statements.
  • Liaise with JV Accounting and approve JV statements.
  • Pull Sales Reports in SAMIS.
  • Assist with Project P&Ls.
  • Liaise with A&R Admin on disbursements.
  • Monitor overhead spending, taxes, and check deposits of the label.
  • Review Release Planning products/projects.

Who you are:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or working towards earning CPA certification preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in computer software applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, TEAMS, SAP, IP, BPC, Lookup Tables, Citrix Applications).
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, timely and accurate.

  • The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $70k to $80k. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.Β Β The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job
