Summary of Job:
The Senior Analyst will directly report to the Head of FP&A with a dotted line to the Director of Tax, Cash, and Internal Reporting. Key FP&A responsibilities included planning, budgeting, and reporting for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), BioWa, and Medical Affairs. Cash Flow / Tax responsibilities include coordinating with numerous functions to support the monthly cash flow forecast and various tax return filings at key points throughout the year. It is expected that activities for this role will consist of 75% FP&A and 25% Tax / Cash flow.
Essential Functions:
- Planning, budgeting, and reporting for:
- North America COGS
- Medical Affairs
- BioWa (including partnership income)
- Prepare Monthly Budget vs Actual areas of responsibility, documenting all significant variances
- Collect/Track Variance information to help adjust quarterly Latest Estimate updates
- Prepare and submit ad-hoc reports as needed
- Become an expert on KKNA financial process and systems
- Support ongoing / future system implementations, communicating directly with corporate organizations as needed
- Ensure all tax and cash-flow related items are entered correctly into FP&A system (Tagetik)
Key Tax responsibilities include:
- Gather data from various functions and create monthly cashflow forecast
- Coordinate SOW's for all Tax engagements including Federal Returns, State Returns, Tax Provision, Transfer Pricing Study, VAT, GST/HST, Sales & Use, etc.
- Gather necessary information for tax filing especially R&D credit in collaboration with development function.
- Coordinate contract review requests to legal department via QuickBase tool
- Gather and provide information to Accounting firm for preparation of Sales/Use, GST/HST and Income Tax Returns
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
Experience
- Pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred
- 5 years of FP&A, financial auditing, consulting or operations experience with exposure to business partnering; Or at least 3 years of experience with advanced degree
 Good technical accounting knowledge
Technical Skills
- Excellent IT skills and abilities – familiarity with current systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tagetik) a big plus
- Excellent Excel skills
Non-Technical Skills
Highly motivated and great attention to detail. Strong endurance to work under tight timelines and complex/changing situations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Broad level of interpersonal skills and flexibility.  Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization.
