Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting and Consolidations

Position Description

The Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting and Consolidations will be responsible for preparing select month-end entries, quarterly financial statements and monthly reporting packages including but not limited to financial statements and related notes to the external financial statements. This position will also assist with intercompany reconciliations, foreign exchange analysis, business combinations and regulatory reporting requirements. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, and will interact closely with the Accounting Department, Finance, Tax and External Auditors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Company’s quarterly financial statements, notes, MD&A and earnings release for external bondholders and private equity owners
• Perform detail tie out of the financial disclosures and notes to underlying support
• Prepare monthly close entries and perform reconciliations for complex areas including intangibles, debt and OCI
• Prepare consolidation entries, including but not limited to intercompany debt and other intercompany transactions
• Assist with the annual audit process, including preparation of various audit support requests and coordination of obtaining support requests from the segment accountants
• Creation and review of financial reporting schedules
• Assist in initiating, implementing and executing process improvements and controls in the area of financial reporting
• Prepare regulatory information requests
• Participate in other projects as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of public accounting experience or combination public accounting and industry experience with reporting experience
• Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience in the telecommunications industry a plus
• Technical accounting skills and ability to research various accounting issues
• Knowledge of Oracle, Onestream, Merrill Bridge or Salesforce, a plus
• Advanced system skills including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and highly effective planning, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work effectively across the Company’s various business units and locations
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in fast paced and changing environment
• Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, flexible work schedule and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions

Base pay range: $80,000-$95,000 annually commensurate with experience
