The Senior Analyst, Forecasting, creates and communicates the demand signals for assigned brand(s) of Hanesbrands, Inc. products. Applies business, technical, and analytical expertise to efficiently estimate demand for assigned products. Collaborates with the Supply Chain, Product Management and Sales teams to finalize the demand for capacity and inventory planning. Facilitates financial planning pre-incentive sales plans utilizing SAS with collaborative input from Product Management and Sales. Advises the commercial group in support of business objectives, by providing a fact-based perspective on market dynamics, trends, opportunities, risks, and product performance.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilites/Accuntabilities

  • Analyzes and consolidates large volumes of data (e.g., shipments, cancels, events, point-of-sale, distribution outlets, retail inventory, market share, and promotional activity). Develops a fact-based point of view, and communicate to management via presentations and reports.
  • Develops analysis incorporating customer-supplied data, integrating market intelligence and/or applying other techniques to define the best methods to forecast customer demand.
  • Supports long range capacity planning processes by maintaining unit forecasts for 24 future months in SAS.
  • Facilitates financial planning for pre-incentive sales plans (i.e. OPC, LEs) utilizing SAS with collaborative input from Product Management and Sales.
  • Identifies key opportunities and obstacles inherent to the forecasting process. Assists management in continuous improvement of process.
  • Provide support and reporting for weekly TRAK meetings.
  • Communicates regularly with Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Customer Service functions.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the processes that impact the business including digitized forecasting, S&OP process, DPr/TILs, and Event Management (pipes, fashion flows and promotions).
  • Develop expertise with systems & processes used to manage the business including, SAS, DPr, EMSv2, TASeR/TSR, BI cubes (Samba, Inventory, TASeR, Service, Velocity) and SAP analyzer.
  • Analyze business results in service, shipments and customer POS, providing insight into actions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills/Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with a Masters Degree.
  • Strong math, analytical and conceptual skills with a resolve for accuracy.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, driven for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple assignments and projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to lead and facilitate consensus meetings.
  • Ability to articulate assumptions, methods, and results to peers and management, and to influence decision making.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, working knowledge of, Forecasting Software (i.e., Logility, JDA, SAS), SAP.
  • Knowledge of Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Financial practices, and the Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Understanding of forecasting methods and applications, including statistical modeling.
  • The incumbent must possess quick & decisive problem resolution skills, and a strong working knowledge of operations and the inter-relationships of all manufacturing, distribution and sales support functions.
  • Ability to learn quickly, remain flexible and work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing day to day challenges/issues.
