JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking an FP&A Sr. Analyst to join our corporate finance team in Chicago. The FP&A Sr Analyst will support the Finance Director through financial planning and analysis on the performance of Cresco Labs’ existing and future Retail Business Units. More specifically, this position will work in collaboration with finance and retail leadership in reporting, data analytics, analyzing trends and variances, and tracking KPIs and management dashboards to support strategic business decisions relating to Cresco Labs and Sunnyside operations.

CORE JOB DUTIES 

  • Build business cases by modeling the appropriate Revenue, COGS, and Operating Expenses to evaluate feasibility of capital investments such as new dispensary store openings
  • Identify and drive cross functional cost savings initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with business unit leaders on building, maintaining, and forecasting budgets as well as assisting in building decks for presentation purposes
  • Drive accountability with business unit leaders to ensure they achieve their budgets and financial targets
  • Provide performance reporting and variance analysis to budgets and forecasts
  • Track and support effective process flows and internal controls over capital and operating expenditures
  • Dissect large datasets to extract relevant detail to arrive at helpful conclusions to drive improvements to the business
  • Understand costing information and pricing models to support effective pricing strategies and insights to meet short, medium, and long-term objectives
  • Perform ad-hoc financial/quantitative analysis and various reporting, financial modeling, and business operations requests

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field required
  • 2 - 6 years of FP&A, or relevant work experience in a finance environment preferably in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or Cannabis industry
  • Strong financial acumen including experience with management reporting, variance analysis and other analyst support functions in forecasting and budgeting
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance multiple, diverse priorities and produce high quality deliverables
  • Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Communication skills of explaining complex data topics to non-experts
  • A benefit if proficient in BPC, Tableau, Intacct, SQL, SAP, or Adaptive Insights financial planning tool
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
