Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to help us build a team that focuses on maintaining high-quality accounting support. The Senior Analyst, Investment Accounting role supports the daily operations of the third-party institutional book of business provided by an external vendor. This role as a Senior Analyst, Investment Accounting also ensures the accuracy for the accounting, reporting, and regulatory data for this book of business while supporting the front office. Success in this role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to understand exceptions, and a willingness to collaborate in a team setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee third party accounting vendor from an accounting and regulatory perspective
• Support GAAP, Statutory, US Tax, and GAAP Consolidation accounting ledger and reporting
• Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for both internal and external use
• Prepare data for regulatory filings
• Research and assist in performance measurement inquiries
• Prepare various reconciliations between the third-party vendor accounting, transfer agent and trading platform data
• Research, troubleshoot, and facilitate resolution of unexpected accounting data results
• Run quality checks on accounting data and investigate outages to help facilitate solutions
• Bring a fresh perspective on existing issues, processes, and controls to develop and recommend new and improved controls and procedural enhancements
• Communicate and interact with peers, management, and customers at all levels in a professional manner
• Support the implementation of new business and strategic initiatives for the organization and company

Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5-7 Years of Experience in Investment Accounting Industry
• Strong Experience with GAAP, STAT, and US Tax
• Strong Experience with Statutory Investment Accounting
• Investment product and derivative experience and knowledge required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying workloads and strict deadlines (e.g., month, quarter, and year-end)
• Ability to independently and creatively resolve problems utilizing appropriate resources
• Maintain strong working relationships with peers, supervisors, project leaders, and internal/external clients
• Excellent team interaction and interpersonal skills (verbal and writing skills).
• Demonstrate high levels of ethics, values, and integrity
• Adapt communications and style to meet colleagues' needs and express information in a clear, direct way
• Demonstrate high energy, resiliency, capacity and ability to handle multiple priorities and execute
• Strong accountability and focus on execution
• Familiarity with investment accounting platforms and systems (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin, State Street PAM, SS&C CAMRA, BNYM SGA/STAR/INVESTONE)
• A strong technical background including use of SQL preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft office technology and software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
