The Senior Investment Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing U.S. Statutory (NAIC – National Association of Insurance Commissioners) reporting (investment schedules, IMR, AVR, RBC, footnotes) for investment portfolios for Empower, its subsidiaries, and affiliates. The analyst role requires a thorough understanding of investments, as well as the related accounting pronouncements and appropriate application to the investment portfolio.Â
What you will do:

Prepare and review quarterly/annual statutory NAIC state financial reporting, supplements, annual audited financial statements and surveys

Interpret new pronouncements and guidelines issued by authoritative associations in relation to U.S GAAP, Statutory (NAIC), or various regulationsÂ

Recommend appropriate changes to accounting systems and presentation of informationÂ

Respond to audit requests for Investments and explain the Company’s positionÂ

Monitor the reporting database and making adjustments where necessaryÂ

Assist with private placement filings with the NAICÂ
What you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business degreeÂ
-
4+ years financial reporting experienceÂ
-
Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skillsÂ

Strong knowledge of U.S. Statutory (NAIC) and/or GAAP accounting principlesÂ

Public accounting experience preferredÂ

Previous experience in investments strongly preferredÂ

Strong technical and analytical skills with ability to communicate effectively, both written and verballyÂ

Ability to utilize creativity thinking towards improvement of business processes and internal controls, and follow-thru in all stages from design into implementationÂ

Attention to detail, analytical acumen and excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple and competing prioritiesÂ

Experience using Alteryx and Wings annual statement softwareÂ

Base Salary Range
$80,100.00 - $113,175.00
The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
