We are seeking a Senior Analyst Margin Improvement to join our team at the Nissan North Americas Headquarters in Franklin, TN.

The following job function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed.   • Serves as a working leader for all aspects of cost reduction and margin opportunities, recommendations, and performance: Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical models to evaluate financial impact of new and ongoing cost reduction initiatives to ensure optimized margins.
  • Manages tactical activities such as daily maintenance of in-house and Nissan Affiliated Companies (NSCs) costs (FOBs) as well as leads strategic projects such as evaluating parts cost and the effect on profitability.
  • Ensures objective attainment and produces performance tracking reports to generate feedback via reporting tools (Aftersales Purchasing Reports and Margin Improvement Reporting P&L), presentations, and/or management communications meetings.
  • Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, Purchasing and other teams (internally and externally) on past model management (continue & expand extended bridge runs) and on the introduction and establishment of new models and new parts cost.
  • Manage/approve/monitor/validate in-house and NSCs costs (FOBs) based on competitive FOBs of local suppliers and other sources, etc.
  • Monitor and evaluate threats or opportunities and develop recommendations for potential NNA cost minimization/avoidance.
  • Completes semiannual analysis and develops business plan submissions for NSCs parts as a result of cost changes, including exchange rate impacts.
  • Ensures desktop, Margin Improvement and mainframe processes are properly maintained and documented.
  • Manage/validate the NSCs exchange rates adjustments.
  • Ensures continuous improvement to Margin Improvement processes.
  • Potential to provide leadership and direction to 1 employee, with responsibility for supervising work assignments as well as coaching, training and helping with career development.
  • As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Minimum Requirements:

The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.

Job Knowledge and Skill:

Superior analytical skills and strong abilities to communicate quantitative or analytical findings succinctly. Solid understanding of internal parts systems and parts operations or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and operations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Technical automotive parts experience is beneficial.

Experience:

Five (with MBA) to seven (w/o MBA) or more years of financial, purchasing, and business analysis with knowledge of cost/margin optimization. Experience in the automotive industry, service parts or high SKU industrial environment is highly preferred.

Two or more years providing guidance/on-the-job training to new employees. Supervisory responsibilities preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related business discipline. Master's degree preferred.

Computer Skills:

Thorough computer knowledge to resolve complex problems in day-to-day situations. Expert Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word. Familiarity with Nissan legacy/mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day-to-day situations is a plus. Moderate technical and/or programming experience is beneficial.
